Politics...
When I was younger, I always consider politics a boring topic for adults only. But two years ago, as I was for the first time allowed to vote I started to show more and more interest to this “boring topic”, wanting to vote correctly. The first thing I realized was that it wasn’t so annoying to talk about how our state govern our country or the different points of views about important issues that concern us (the Swiss people) directly. The second thing I discovered was the reason why politics usually doesn’t attract teenagers: it’s a very difficult topic that brings most of time debates and conflicts. Thanks to an older friend who patiently presented me the different Swiss parties, I had the opportunity to choose which party I agreed with. In Switzerland, in most of the schools, we don’t learn anything about politics, which is regrettable. I think that politics should be taught at a certain point (beginning around 16 years old) because it’s kind of part of our history, and it could help teenagers not feel lost the first day they have to vote !
