Oklahoma land rush... and heroes.

As soon as I sit, Cara started to show us some video clip. I didn't know what that was but I just watched. in the video clip, everyone was standing at the starting line riding horses. some of them had wagons. all of a sudden, all people who was at the starting line started to run at starting signal. "what the heck are they doing?" at first, i thought it was kind of ancient sports game. but it was not. I was totally wrong. it was the way of taking the land in the past. as a citizen who lives in such a small country, Korea, I was shocked a little bit and I was jealous of the way that they took lands as well. it's sad that even South Korea is smaller than Pennsylvania. anyways, after that day, we've learned what happened after people took the land and how they survived. "how do they survived in that deserted land? it was the first question that popped up in my head. although I knew how hard that was through my military experience, it's essentially different situations. surviving from nothing. it's surprising and amazing.I guess that's why people live now romanticize them. we all know how tough it was and i think no one dare try to put themselves into that situation. self-reliance. perhaps, that's the reason how The U.S. has reached this top status among the all countries. although America's history isn't that long compared to others, they already knew it how to survive by themselves.
