Images of heros

This boring post is brought to you by Mits. This is my first post on Cara's Class Blogs :)
If I asked you what a hero usually is like, What would you say? someone who has a super power and can defeat villains easily? or who is extremely self-relreliant and can get over any obstacles? We studied the American stereotypes of heroes and how those have been composed by learning an american historical background.
In American Movies, it is not so hard to guess who a mein hero is when I first see the person. Usually, American Heros are macho men and mandsome. they dont really make mistakes.
How about it in Japan? Old japanese heroes are usually humble, unobtrusive,of course amazingly strong, and scattercrains. they dont usually tried to lead others in front of a lot of peope. they do their hero's jobs secretly.
As I mentioned, these historical background and images of heroes have definitely influenced the cultures and the senses of value in each contries.
When I see this kind of the hero movies next time in my contry, Japan, I would like to analyze how the directors and playwrights have been influenced by Japanese historical backeground of the image of heros.
